National Apprenticeships

  • Apprenticeships earn a salary right from day one of their employment and training.

  • You get paid and train at the same time, with at least 20% of your time spent in off the job training, often at a college, university or with a training provider.

Apprenticeships careers can include:

  • Hair & Beauty

  • Finance / Accounting

  • Logistics

  • Food Industry

The National Apprenticeship scheme's website allows you to explore potential careers and up to date information regarding vacancies and opportunities in the local area. You will also be able to apply for roles through the website.

Traineeships:

 

If you think you need better skills or need further experience to apply for an apprenticeship, there is a scheme "traineeship" that will prepare you to apply for your chosen apprenticeship. 

 

You’ll get:

  • a work experience placement

  • help with English and maths (if you need it)

You won’t be paid, but you may be given expenses for things like travel and meals.
