Achieving Excellence Beyond Belief
Sixth Form - Welcome
Welcome to the Sandy Secondary School Sixth Form page.
Our Sixth Form is about developing you as a person. We are a small Sixth Form which means that we can personally focus on helping you through the next two years of your education.
While we might be small in number we are not small in ambition and will help you to both develop and achieve your goals. Each year our students move onto successful careers, high level apprenticeships and University placements including Russell group and Oxbridge.
You will benefit from our dedicated Sixth Form facilities including a large study area, common room, cafeteria and a garden. Sixth Form students have access to art and photography facilities, drama, theatre and music including recording facilities, design and technology workshops, science laboratories, computer suites.
Part of developing as a person is taking control of your own independent learning. We will encourage you to find the best environment to complete the additional study that is required for all post 16 courses. To this end, students are only required to attend school for lessons and other timetabled activities. All students are provided with an identity card that will allow them to securely log in and out of the building so that we can ensure the safety of all members of our school community. This identity card also provides access to the other facilities that are restricted for the lower school.
We will not let you fail. We have robust systems in place to monitor your progress and to ensure that you receive the individual support that you need to help you succeed at this important time. We will not allow you to slip through the net or pass unnoticed.
Being a member of our Sixth Form will provide you with a working environment where you will be challenged, supported and developed by a team of professionals who are committed to students achieving their potential and beyond. We work together to ensure that students leave with confidence and enthusiasm as well as outstanding academic achievements.
If you would like to visit our Sixth Form and see us in action please contact the school office (firstname.lastname@example.org or Tel: 01767 680598) to arrange a suitable time and date.
